Thunderstorm
If you like Pacific Northwest Weather…RIGHT NOW– Caples Lake is the place for you. June has brought us some wonderful unexpected cooling weather. Our usual June hot days have been replaced with comfortable cool cloudy weather with beautiful thunderheads and a bit of rain in the afternoon. Local trails are abundant with wildflowers and wildlife. If you prefer the water and catching “the big one,” Caples Lake is perfect for the fishing enthusiast. Recommendation: Come on up and give kayak angling a try… it’s a perfect blend of sport, relaxation, and enjoying the natural world we live in.

THE LAKE IS THAWED AND THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME IS RESTOCKING IT. ALSO, THE LAKE LEVEL DID NOT REACH KILLER LOWS LAST WINTER, SO OUR TROPHY TROUT SURVIVED THE WINTER FREEZE. TAKE AT LOOK AT THE BIG ONE CAUGHT LAST FEBRUARY IN OUR GOT FISH TAB.
